Warped Wall is finished

It is ALIVE!!!

We got alot more footage today compared to other days. So you'll see 2 videos come out of today. Mainly it was a pretty simple quick day. Thad finished screwing in the last sheet of plywood. While I was plying in the top surface on the warped wall and adding the grip bar at the lip.

Everything went pretty smooth today found out we made a few small mistakes on it but nothing major.
In the soon to come videos one is part 3 on building of it and the other is a finished 360 degree tour of the ramp and Thad and myself first make on the wall. Which is above the this photo here------------------------> :)

We just have to make a few adjustments to it to ensure its locked down and stable and then sand down the surface. After that shes 100%

Well be moving to the small bank and repairing that today/tomorrow and get it primed for the Quad steps and Rolling Log.

Second Day on the Warped Wall

So back again and got most of the warped wall finished! Thad came over and we knocked off most of it. Also we had a Clone Trooper from Starwars over and checking out the project. He even got some 2x4s for us! Such a nice clone trooper lol

I had to head back to the house to take care of some stuff later in the day but Thad trooped out and finished drilling in our first sheet of plywood! Starting to look pretty amazing here I'm not going to lie.

Keep checking back in the next few days for the next assembly video.

A little Ninja How To

In this video I go over the basics of drawing and cutting out the transition for the warped wall. Some parts of the process are skipped but you should be fine without those from what you've already seen.

Didn't want to make the video too long. I have an older laptop so its sorta hard to render these large file videos. I'm hoping to have the second on up later today on the assembly of the warped wall.

 And here it is!

And it begins!

Started work on the Warped Wall today. Got started this morning around 11 cutting the transition for the wall. Shot alot of video via GoPro so will try to get that up for any wondering how to draw it out. Soon after I was finished my friend Thad showed up to help with assembly. We worked with the set up made a few cuts and finished the bottom section of the wall.

Thad shot this while I was leveling out the bottom of warped wall on its rails.

After Thad left I took a break and then spent about another 45-60mins getting the back posts and middle transitions up.

Looking back on this now I'm wishing we built the long end on the ground first and rotating it up after we were done. Would make assembly a whole lot easier. You learn alot coming from blueprints to actual assembly practicality.

Hopefully only 5-7hrs more work left to go.

Videos hopefully to come soon on the progression of assembly and how to draw/cut the radius for the warped wall.

ANW season is over and the course begins!

So the last episode of ANW has aired and the season was full of firsts. Many veterans had early falls and the rise of new athletes and friends were amazing. I wanted to say great work to everyone who tryed out, made it to regional's, finals, and all the stages. HUGE CONGRATS TO BRENT! You did great brother!! Myself and all who were watching you were rooting for you! Great job!

We can't wait soon enough for next year, so lets get this course built!!!
Starting tomorrow we are going to start getting things ready to build the warped wall! Built to specs with some added features ;)

See for those of you who don't know as of last year I started doing Crossfit and it has been an amazing journey in physical fitness and one of the few things I have taken away from that is scaling up to your goal. So there will be a few obstacles that we are going to create that can be modified to increase difficulty or lower it for someone trying to build up to that goal of theirs. (ie. changeable angles on the Qsteps, salmon ladder grips, ect..) Its going to be fun :)

((UPDATE 7/24/12))
Materials are here! Good thing we have a nice pool of lumber to pull from. Just need to go out and buy 3 sheets of 3/4" plywood for the sides! Construction starts tomorrow.

Deconstruction is finished

Taking a break the next few days from it and will resume soon. I will probably start with the rolling log, or quad steps.

Hi I'm Jason aka "Scoffman" aka "the Carpenter" I am a 2 time competitor on American Ninja Warrior 2 and 3 and I am building a Ninja Warrior Training Course out of my old mini mega skateboard ramp.

I am hoping to have a few buddies train on the course with me and hopefully build a community of ninjas around this course. I am in my start up phase right now and am deconstructing the ramp to prepair it for the obstacles to come. But for all the lumber I have I will still come up short from building it. Seeing as I am currently jobless right now, working as a RA Firefighter in Madera, CA and interning at a Crossfit box. I don't really have any money and am hoping on some of your support as a fan or friends who want to train and play on the finished course with me.

So I ask your support. I am trying to raise $450 to buy needed metal, concrete, rope, and wood. If you could donate any amount it be greatly appreciated, together with everyones support I know we can make this great!
